CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services)
Our Individualised Approach to Student Support
We take a highly personalised approach to meeting the needs of our students. In addition to the strategies outlined in Section F of student EHCP's , we work closely with external professionals such as CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) to provide specialist input when required. These services may be accessed on our school site for a variety of reasons, typically when students need more targeted or professional support beyond what can be offered through universal or classroom-based interventions.
CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services)
CAMHS offers specialist support for children and young people experiencing significant emotional, behavioural, or mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or complex behavioural needs.
This may include:
-
Individual or group sessions
- Support for families and carers.
- Liaison with schools to develop strategies that help students manage their mental health.
Students are typically referred to CAMHS when concerns about mental health are raised and their needs cannot be met through school-based interventions alone.
